Been awhile since I've been here and I know there are a lot of new products out there. Just got my rims polished out for my almost complete build. Is it possible to protect the polished aluminum without buffing every other week?
Thanks for any input! Also, how do you get photos to not rotate?

First - here's your picture in full size as you posted it.
Nice old 2-door Chevy....
There are a number of "sealants" advertised to "seal" in the shine for un-coated aluminum. For what it's worth, by buddy,
Rob the Harley Detailer
and you can Google that and find his website - THE best Harley detailer on Planet Earth by the way. Anyway, he polishes a LOT of metal, (as you can expect), and he did some long-term testing and he found the best product and easiest to use is the Pinnacle Black Label Wheel Coating.
Thanks for the reply Mike! Don't post much, but I've read a lot here since I've joined a few years back and gain some useful knowledge from your posts as well as others.
So, can anyone chime in on posting photos that won't come in upside down? haha
Look into Wolfgang Metal Sealant. It works very well on polished aluminum wheels. The wheel will still need polishing even with a coating as the surface will still oxidize just at slower pace than having no protection. Wolfgang does last quite a bit of time on uncoated metal.
