Quick Detailer With Damp Microfiber
Is there any advantage or disadvantage to use a damp microfiber towel when using a quick detailer or Spray Wax?

Advantage: None that I can think of.
Disadvantage: A damp microfiber will exponentially increase the likelihood of streaking.

IF you need to dampen if for whatever reason dampen it with the QD or spray wax. If it's water you pick up from cracks/crevices after a wash then it probably won't hurt anything. It will probably streak more and the water dilutes the QD / Spray wax making it less effective.

^^This^^
QD's are already "diluted" for use straight out of the bottle.
A wet (or dampened with water) towel would just make the QD a smear-fest IMO.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
