Interested in this product. How is it? A few ounces added to your washer fluid. Better picking up the gallon?
Thanks.
I used the McKee's Anti-Frost and mixed it with SONAX Clear View Windshield Wash Concentrate and made up two gallons of washer fluid a few years ago. It works great and doesn't freeze up during the winter on my daily drivers that are keep outside 24/7.
It’s great stuff. Last year I added to to regular washer fluid and it did great here in NC.
I’m actually amazed it works so well. If you find frost on your window one morning you just haven’t used the washer fluid in a couple days. Use it the next night before you pull in the driveway and your good to go.
Obviously NC is not PA weather but is still get a good amount of frost.
It's not a few ounces it's more like the whole bottle. Thats what I didn't like about it.
That is true. It’s not a concentrate in the sense you only need a couple ounces. You have to add like a quart at a time. But I only used half a bottle here in NC last year. Not sure how much you would half to use in colder climates.
Doesn't say anything about what it's rated to temperature wise. I usually buy the -30F or -35F (can't remember which) rated washer fluid. I have seen those temps in Michigan before, and we will see them again.
Interesting read.....I have used RainX for several years with no issues at all. Mine is a yellow liquid though and not orange, still good for -35 or -40. Now I don't own a European vehicle as stated in that article, don't imagine that makes a difference.
