Re: What the heck did the dealer spray on my car
Just want to throw this out there. I know dealerships mess up a lot of cars but it seems illogical that so many people think they have paint over spray from being in a dealership parking lot. It's not like dealerships are out there painting cars in the lot?

In general, I like Precoat a lot as well.

I don’t know it’s paint overspray, but it’s overspray from something. I have kept the car perfect, then leave it at the dealer for a week, and washed it when I got home to find this. The dealer also does the collision work for all the network of dealers under the owner name, outside Ford. If I had to guess, they do much more collision work than service at this location. Thus why I think it’s overspray.

PAINT overspray should be limited to inside the paint booth. Does look to be overspray of some sort, but doubt it was paint.

Dealerships have PDR services spraying paint all the time for minor work out on their lots.
Sure the dealers employees only paint in the booths, but the sublet work to the PDR people happens out on the lot most of the time weather permitting.
