Mind if I hijack - Do all spray and wipe products contain polymer sealants? All the spray wax products appear to have a synthetic sealant as part of their formula.

I'm finding it hard not to use Wet Coat. It's just too easy. Even if it only lasts a month.

    I have used
    Black fire hydroseal
    Wetcoat
    carPro Hydr02
    Meguires ceramic spray hydro sealant

They all work well, I can’t say that any one of them work better than the others, I use them on my wheels.A buddy of mine also gets great results on his new Hyundai with Carpro Hydrofoam.

glen, how was the Megs spray? With that product they claim you should put a layer down by hand first, then from then on spray/rinse.

    Re: Spray and rinse sealants.

Like I said, it works just as well as the other ones, it doesn’t go on clear but it sprays off the same way. I’m a pretty big believer that all the major companies make a product that is equivalent to somebody else’s product just like Ford versus Chevy. There can’t be that much radical difference between a Maguires and a carpro product in the same product class…..At least that’s my experience. I stopped doing A-B “divide the hood” type tests 5 to 7 years ago when after a while I couldn’t tell a damn bit of difference.

Absolutely and there are only so many chemical companies etc. Similar to oil. And they reverse engineer competitor products.

    Re: Spray and rinse sealants.

I don’t know if they’re still there but back in 2013, there was a company on the West Coast of Florida somewhere that was making virtually all the polymer sealants then labeling them as to who they were selling to, they were all the same, our friend Ronkh here, who passed away, knew that whole deal.
