Can't remove this spot from my cars trunk

While washing my car the other day. I noticed a spot on the top of the trunk it looked like a peice of road tar. I flicked it off and noticed it left a spot in the paint. I tried claying and it faded it out but the spot remained. I tried meguiars bug and tar cleaner on it and it didn't help. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Try polishing it out with a DA.

Do you have a ceramic coating, sealant or wax on the car?

Planning on doing that when I have some free time. It sucks because this happened two weeks after I last polished the car.

I have powerlock topped with 845 on the car. It has been about a 3 weeks since I applied them

Can also try Goof Off Professional and see it if wipes off.
