Prep for wheel coating and leather coating...?

New truck, wondering what prep should be used for coating wheels and plastic using Dlux and what about leather prep for Gyeon leather coating?

Truck is new, nothing on wheels, plastic, or leather.

I have megs APC in gallons, interior quick detailer and n914.

For wheels and plastic just get them clean and decontaminated. Then use a paint prep, IPA Gyeon Prep stuff like that.

I use Gyeon Leather coat. To prep for it I vacuum the seats real well then clean with Gyeon Leather.

There has to be a general cleaner I can use on the leather as there is nothing on them to really clean per-se

Start with vacuuming.

Then Give it a quik wipedown with Megs APC@10:1 or even 20:1 followed by a quik wipedown with N-914 and allow to fully air dry. Don’t use the Quik Interior Detailer because it leaves behind UV protection and you don’t want anything on the surface.

If your wheels are new and clean then all you need is a prep wipe and coat. Personal preference if you decide to chemically decontaminate. Wouldn’t hurt to do it.

With regards to the leather coating then the same concept there. If it is clean then no need for a leather cleaner or APC. You could get away with N914 followed by a damp towel to remove any residue that N914 may leave behind.

Even a prep wipe spray like Gyeon Prep or CarPro Eraser if you have them and just coat.
