Dash panel repair process question
Hey guys coming for some opinions, I've got a dash piece out of my 1988 Monte Carlo. hopefully you can see in the pictures the deep scratches I'm wanting to get rid of. Should I use a similar process to restoring headlights (stepping down sand paper as fine as possible, compound, polish) or should I just hand polish w/ 205 and live with the deep scratches? My biggest concern is that the factory finish is perfectly smooth with a mirror finish and I'm afraid I won't get that to return and make it worse than it already is!
