Re: MTM PF22 quick connect question
The quality of that fitting looks very suspect, which is probably why it leaks and only threads in four threads deep. I'd replace it and see if that helps.

Funny that you say that...because I'm replacing it as soon as I figure out which one to replace it with. I'm wondering if there's some type of thead incompatibility, which would explain why mine came so heavily taped? Mine doesn't leak, but I don't like the way it attaches to quick connect on the SGS28

Re: MTM PF22 quick connect question
Now I will say, I have the same gun and I believe it came with the fitting because I didn't purchase a separate fitting when I ordered it. Mine has never leaked so I don't know. I'll check it to see which fitting I have.

OK, I just checked. I have that same logoed fitting, but mine threads in so that there's only about 1/4" of threads showing. It is also heavily taped although I don't remember if it came that way or I did it. I still suspect that if it won't thread fully and it leaks that there's something wrong with the opening or the fitting.

So I’ll see what MTM says then. It did seem odd that the same quick connect that comes with the cannon doesn’t thread all the way in.

Re: MTM PF22 quick connect question
If that is a pipe thread, they are tapered so you will want to use tape or pipe rope. Be careful not to overtighten because you are driving a taper into a taper and it could split the fitting. Sometimes they just won't go in very far but it should seal if you tape the threads.
