Adams SK MINI is a fantastic polisher. I wouldn’t be without it.

5mm throw which equates to less correcting power, on top of having little backing plate rotational torque.

He was talking about a GG6 w/3” backing plate.

Thumbs up Re: help, do I need a mini DA really?%%%%

I ordered the SK MINI yesterday and can't wait! Only other polisher I own is the Harbor Freight. Great to have such a great group to learn from and share. AG rocks!

Ive been considering the Adams mini as well. They also make a 15MM that looks nice for the price as well. I could buy 2 Adams polishers for the price of one GG 15MM. For a hobbyist im really considering saving the money, most reviews speak highly of the Adams polishers. Rupes would be nice, just hard to justify the expense for using a polisher less than half dozen times a year. But...… the nano long neck would be great for the small spots as there really isn't another like product out there.

Re: help, do I need a mini DA really?%%%%

I posted in this thread back in March, and my thoughts really haven’t changed at all. If anything as I’ve used an 8mm throw machine more and more, the urge to buy a forced rotation unit (flex or mille) and just have a nano has gotten even stronger. I wish GG would release an ibrid equivalent (or someone would.)

Using a porter cable with a 3” plate feels really bad, and very cumbersome.

There’s just too many areas where it’s a nuisance to try and keep pad rotation on even modest body lines like my Altima has.

Maybe it’s just my obsessive nature. But there’s a ton of areas on my car I cant polish thoroughly with a machine, and doing it by hand just doesn’t feel sufficient.

Wouldn't a long throw (12mm) stall on curves more than a 8mm Mini?
