This was after the 2nd reapplication and sitting for 11 hrs but the p/s was not exposed to direct sunlight, only the d/s.

I tried applying Perl to it but it would bead up. After smearing it in with aMF applicator it would even out but would get runs in it if it got wet. Basically the coating self cleaning the dressing off. I used PERL 1 to 1 for dressing.

With TuffShine I generally clean tires 2 or 3 times a year and reapply and let it ride. Doesnt give that really glossy shine, rather a clean, slight sheen.

It did really gloss up on some Michelin PS Sport A/S ZP tires though, have used on other Michelins without it getting glossy so as mentioned, different tires may produce different results.

There is a reaction happening with the solvents in the compound either pre-existing or detailer-added.

I agree with what others have mentioned about a tyre cleaner followed by a hydrocarbon/white spirit rub down. Then let sit for a week and repeat before trying again.

Considering you’ve used a lot of tyre shine in the past, great lengths are needed to get the compound properly clean.

Ok, I got to work this morning and sprayed all 4 tires with Super Clean aerosol. After I sprayed all 4 I then went back and wiped them down. During the foaming process I noticed brown being lifted from the tire. One little side note, even though the tires are the same brand my front tires have been replaced, looked at the date on the tire, also they don't have rim protection like the originals, not sure why the new ones weren't made the same. Anyway, here's how they look after the cleaning:

Fronts get more "exercise" than the rears. I always notice my front tire dressings/coatings seem to dull a little faster.

True enough but look at the difference after the cleaning.

Isn't TS like most tire dressing/coating, the more coats, the glossier it gets?

Some tires have a raised portion of rubber that goes around the rim for a little added protection for the edge.

Ok, so tonight I'm going to wash the car but another round of cleaning is going to happen with Super Clean aerosol but scrubbed and rinsed down. I will then Read apply the product to the tire and see what happens.
