Re: Trigger sprayer that lasts with APC

I’ve had 4-5 spray masters bite the dust over the last few years. Cost of doing business I guess. My biggest gripe is it never happens at a good time. Fortunately I have spares on hand. Still a good sprayer for the money in my mind.

I understand the acid cleaners breaking down the metal springs in the sprayers, but is the APC diluted that strong?
I think that the rubber seals is the weakest point. And that the spray bottles are not used frequently enough. If used unregualar I would go with the tips of spray rinse them out. Think it's also about the quality of the viton seals used that set them apart in the longevity of them. And which rubber seal that is used. FPM/Viton is the common one which is good for ph level 7-12 and oil based and petroleum based products. EPDM is for high alkaline products up to ph 14 and weak acid products. Then maybe I have understand it wrong and the rubber seals has not been the problem. But the build of the sprayer head that breaks. If it's the rubber seals that is the problem. Get a sprayer head with EPDM seals in it. Just don't use any oil or petroleum based products with that. Like some tar degreaser and oil based vinyl and rubber products or they will fail. If you have problems with Ipa or ethanol based products like panel wipe products and glass cleaners. You can look for a sprayer head with NBR seals for them to last long. But to be on the safe side it's best to rinse out the sprayer head when done useing it. For it to last the longest.

The only product i use that kills my spray bottles/nozzles is Megs Wheel Brightener. I use Mikes suggestion and always flush them in my rinse bucket before storing them.

    I tried 3 Kwazars and they're dead.

Gonna try custmsprty's suggestion and order some SprayMasters.

Get the red pump sprayer bottle from Kwazar to use WB in. The regualar ones don't do well with acid products. Or find a spray bottle that has EPDM seals in it.

    Edit:
Or this one from Sonax. I don't remember exactly which brand this bottle is. But it's a well known brand here in the EU. Sure it's a pricey item. But quality often costs sadly.

SONAX Acid and Alkaline Pump Vaporizer

    Edit 2 LOL.
It's a brand called Gloria that manufactures that bottle for Sonax.

currently using the “acid” gold trigger sprayer to see if that will last.

Any body have experience with trigger sprayers and ones that would actually stand up to APC?

or should I invest in the IK sprayers which advertises ph scale of 0-10.
those are the sprayers I use...and have been using for several years......finally had one go bad after about three years of spraying Megs APC at 4:1
