Agreed. Here's an EVO I topped with FK1000p. Also did an 80s Porsche (silver) topped with FK and looked good as well.

Carnaubavore is a sealant? Didn't know. I have it, never used it. It smells so good
I'll eventually try the Wolfgang sealant. Well, after I order it, I mean.

Based on how it is described below...
perhaps I should of called it a “hybrid”

On my Glacier Silver BMW , Mezerna 3800 with 2 coats of Chemical Guys 50/50 wax.
I firmly believe that the multiple layers of wax enhances the “pop”.
Definitely all in the prep work.

That silver definitely looks great! What ever happened to Drew (I'm assuming that's Son1c)?? I haven't seen him on here for years. Is he still making wax? Last time I checked on the AG page I think they only had one of his waxes.

Hybrid Sealant works for me. I remember that being one of his first waxes. That, along with the name "Carbaubavore" - I guess I thought it was more of a natural wax.
Thanks for clearing that up.
The hood looks nice! Is it Wolfgang on there?

Drew/Son1c is doing other things, like family life, and some racing (autoX, maybe).
His last wax that I know of, Amethyst, was done in 2016.

Thanks, I assumed he quit doing it. Extremely time consuming. Doing the small batches he was doing couldn't have been very cost effective, not to mention the amount of time testin, etc.

I like to believe that after the initial R&D, things got easier for him. Tweak something here, add something there, and you have a different formula.
I'm sure the profit was good, too.
He's got a massive thread of how he started to where he was happy with a wax on AG. Tons of reading. It almost got me to try my hand at it ! ! ! ! !
Dodo Juice might still be making the "home brew" kits as well.

Re: "Pop" on silver paint
Dark colors look best in full sun light, but light colors specifically white and silver look best in low light conditions either a cloudy day or just before sunset. If you are looking at your silver vehicle in full on sun light it will always look dull and lifeless. You need the right light assess the paint and shine.

Gteq EXO ceramic on wife’s Lexus IS350 with SIO touchup monthly works nice. My Cayman S has Duragloss on it with Aqua wax topper ( the EXO ceramic/SiO gets the slight edge on “pop”)
