Looking at buying one of these since it's on sale, but in the description it says it does not come with a backing plate. I also don't see a backing plate listed, is it a universal 6 inch rubber backing plate like I sell in my store? Sorry to ask such a basic question, but I am new to this. Thanks in advance

Depends on what size pad you want to use.

Hook and Loop Backing Plates, Velcro brand hook & loop backing plate, meguiars backing plates, lake country backing plates

6in and smaller diameter plate will work.

I suggest the Flex BP’s. They are really nice. Come in 3, 5 and 6 inch. Here is a link to the 5 inch.
