Re: Getting good results using SuperClean on tires...
I use superclean for mostly everything lol. Super economical. I use it 10:1 on well maintained tires, 4:1 on slightly worse and strait for the worse of the worse. Cant go wrong.

I use either Megs Super Degreaser or OPC for tires. Megs suds up nicely but leaves my tire brush coated in nasty. Pic below on left is after 3 tires cleaned with Super Degreaser 4:1 and spraying off with pressure washer. Pic on right after cleaning the fourth tire with Optimum Power Clean 3:1 and rinsing with pressure washer.

Same here. I love that stuff. I tried it after watching Scott(Dallas)'s video. It worked just like he showed on some really grungy tires. It is all I use on tires now.

Funny you mention that. I was cleaning a nasty running boards with strait superclean and i didnt see the mosquito sitting there. May or may not have melted him by accident.

Ya... But Scott uses it undilluted and uses half a bottle on a tire. In those conditions, any product with do good work. When I tried using Super Clean diluted 4:1 (like I use Megs super degreaser), it wasn't cleaning well. Had to do 2 or 3 rounds of cleaning to get the tire clean.

Just as a sidenote... do any of you use a foamer to clean tires? I was watching a youtube video yesterday and the guy what using a spray pump foamer (IKG I think was the brand) to foam the cleaning product. It looked really effective. A thick foam coated the whole wheel (mag and tire) and just sat there for about 2 minutes before he started scrubbing. I think that would really make the cleaner much more effective since it's not running off.

I use a foam pump sprayer to apply the tire cleaner I use. The benefit is also that you get a stronger dilution ratio than the prewash foam gets you. First I apply the wheel cleaner on the rim and then foam the tire cleaner on.

Re: Getting good results using SuperClean on tires...
Super Clean does have a pH range of 12.5-13.8. Assuming the worse case on the high side that is slightly lower than drain cleaner. I certainly would not want that touching any metal surface of the car. Diluting it 4:1 brings it down to 13.1 which does not make it that much safer. A 10:1 dilution will bring it down to 12.76. 10:1 will make it safer but perhaps not all that effective.
