Re: Newby here...advice on which Menzerna polish and pads

106FF is a finishing polish and shouldnt be used to correct imperfections. SIP with orange, white, or green is fine.

I realize that SIP is more aggressive than 106FF, but why can't 106FF be used to remove cetain defects? They say it removes up to 2500 grit sand scratches (especially on hard Ceramic), so why would you not be able to use it for a moderate correction? Most car wash micromarring is much finer than 2500 grit level. Couldn't it technically be used to remove 3000 grit sanding scratches in theory (if you wanted to)?

Taken from Menzerna's description of 106FF:

Menzerna Nano Polish is one of two polishes manufactured by Menzerna to remove imperfections in the new, hard, ceramic clear coat paints.
Nano Polish is capable of removing 2500 grit sanding scratches, haze from compounding, light swirls, and mild oxidation while restoring a glassy, smooth shine.
