Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I did a maintenance wash on this BMW. The thing I feel best about is I hooked up my air compressor to check out where the tire pressure was compared to the sticker on the doorjamb and they were way off.
Both rear tires were under inflated by 8psi and the fronts were under by 4 psi.
It felt good sending the car away with the tires where they should be. I hope he sees a noticeable improvement in the ride.
Interesting that car asked for 44psi in the rear and 38 psi for the front. Also the rear tires are different size, slightly larger than the front tires. Kinda fancy. Lol.

Sounds about right... and then when you go to buy AS tires to replace the RFT staggered tire set-up, you have a mild heart attack with the price. Two will always be a hard to find size. It's got to be some sort of BMW / Tire mfg collusion thing!

Exactly. Way to make it Extra high maintenance. And you better buy the proper tires or you might as well let the entire car go to sh** from that point on. Lol

It's true. The stock RFTs they offer are downright dangerous if it's not 70 and sunny... and that is on a SUV.
But hey the dealer will get you a set of wheels and AS tires for a small fee of $5k

After yesterday's crappy grey and rain, it was sunny today so a simple touch-free wash brought the EN back up to where it needs to be

Would they be run-flats as well? Aren't they the standard fitment to BMWs?

There's a ton of configurations possible. I know they offer 19, 20 and 21 for the X3 M40i for example. And then the tires you get depend on if you want the variant governed at 155mph or capped at 135mph. I don't know the options across all models but I know there's a lot of ways to build them if you buy new.
And of course this is all for the US... not sure how it works in other countries.

22 year old headlight restoration. Came out super great! I used Meguiars plastic cleaner, 1000-4000 grit wet sand paper on a Flex Rotary PE14-2, some random compound and polish, orange pad and white pad on the Flex, then finished it with Meguiar's Headlight Coating.

I'd call that result "amazing". I can see why you're happy.
