When they get through your car is one giant masking mark and crappy blend job with dry edges and paint bleedover onto the rubber and trim
This is an amazing job

This morning I sprayed and blended the clear. The weather was perfect... Dead calm and about 70 degrees.

Thanks.
There is some truth behind "we have to paint the entire panel". That has always been my baseline but there are some exceptions, like this job.
Like I said in my first post (9135), "Typically, I don't like doing blend jobs with the clear but in this case, I have a small area between the taillamp and the bumper along with the corner radius of the panel to execute the blend. That configuration will help to conceal the blend when it's all said and done."

Thanks... And yes, it is old.
It's a Binks Model 115 Touch Up gun that I've had since the 1970s or 80s.

Just a feeling, but I get the impression something is not quite right from them at the moment. They are running more sales than normal and customer support/response seems to be a little off at the moment.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Drove the mud-mobile to my daughter and son-in-law’s house for a wash
Son-in-law hadn’t moved his pickup so it was blocking my 4Runner which had my gear in it and put my car too far out for their single garden hose to reach
He hadn’t gotten the pressure washer out either so I went to the shed and grabbed it, hoping the garden hose and the machine hose together would be long enough
Turns out it didn’t matter because the garden hose was leaking at the male fitting end (cheap expandable flex hose), the pressure washer inlet didn’t have a rubber sealing ring, and the sealing ring in the hose nozzle I was going to use was split
Hooked up and with the water turned on it looked like a fountain in Las Vegas
Needless to say I was pissed after having planned this all for almost 2 weeks
Supposed to be down past freezing this weekend and staying cold for a while
Moral of the story; don’t depend on anyone but yourself
Not sure yet what plan B is
Maybe after we move into town in 9 days I can go to the wand wash at 2:00 am and take enough stuff to get at least the outer paintwork clean
I don’t even want to try washing door jambs and the hatch with the car wash wand
Do I get points for trying?

Yes we think a like! I'm getting a feeling that the others are over taking them is sales and product range. To be honest this company most likely just sell the detailing products
but are not into detailing/car cleaning etc,etc IMO

Yes i have some water spot remover that say (Do not use on mirrors or windshields)
So i went with this brand, but don't! use on mirrors not worth it mate.
I tried some duragloss glass polish after the fact and that didn't work either
if you do have water spots i would try a polish BUT be careful.
Use spotless on glass only but try it out on a test spot first
