You have a clean, black car and you know no other way, that's why you bother

A valid question indeed. We do it because we're nuts, but not in a bad way. I can tell who takes care of their rides when I see people out and about, and somehow my wife has even been able to tell! She does enjoy a good episode of White Details here and there. That's shocking.
I mentioned this in a previous thread (thinking about your storm picture) - I try to wash the car when I know I'll get at least a good stretch of days without rain. On one such occasion some random cell popped up basically JUST OVER MY PARKING SPOT and wrecked the work I did that morning. I told my wife I had to to clean it again as soon as possible.
That "as soon as possible" moment was midnight that night, under the faint glow of a cell phone flashlight, with a bucket of ONR LOL
We're nuts!!

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Figured this was the best place to ask (this thread), but does anyone remember the 'fix' someone had for their speedmaster wheel brush rubber tip ripping off?
Someone had some 'fix' where it was replaced with another rubber tip that worked perfectly. I love this brush and works amazing...but I've scratched a rim or two in the barrel because of the missing tip and want to fix it.
DOn't want to just buy another brush just because of this

Definitely not getting all the way clean. At least my experience at the various touchless around me.
Alway follow up with a light waterless or rinseless after.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
My motorcycle just got some attention. I spent quite a bit of time on it and now it's at the dealership for some work.
I did the best thing I could for the clearcoat on my bike, and it's not even at home with me.
I told my techs at the dealership, who are great mechanics, please get it done and....SKIP THE COMPLIMENTARY WASH.
Not sure what happens in the wash bay of an HD dealership, but i'd rather get it back a bit dirty and clean it myself. Plus I really enjoy the process of cleaning it.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
The wife got too close to a portable work bench in the garage. The first step was polish to clean it up. I was able to use my Griots G8. It’s better than it was but it’s a work in progress. Dr Colorchip is helping.
