So I had to find another bottle and got a Griot's compact sprayer for it.
At least it's not just me then. While doing yesterday's wash, the cheap and nasty hose kept disconnecting from the pressure washer, after the third time I swapped for the good hose, that's way to long and gets in the way, which leads me to knock over the foam cannon and spill the carefully mixed contents all over the garage floor. Then, eventually with everything sorted and cleaned up, I actually got to work on the car.

Between more pollen, driving the EN around and those tree seeds falling on the car...oh yeah a couple rounds of sprinkles later in the day, I needed to wash the EN. I did it before work, thankfully the great touch-free wash is right up the street from work, I got gas too (27.2 mpgWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?)....oh yeah the trigger for this wash, HUUUUGE bird bomb, decided to just run it through thereWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Now it's clean when I leave work today What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Maintenance wash of the XR8 today. I also wanted to give the noise pipes some love too.

Washed and then scrubbed with P21S.

The P21S didn't cut through the baked on crud of these super-soft aluminum tips. I once read about Stoner's Tarminator being very good at removing carbon staining on exhaust tips. A small amount applied into a towel was enough clean them up with absolute ease.

I then hit them with CarPro MetalliCut before wiping them down with Eraser.

It was then onto a new product for me, Dr. Beasley's Metal Coat.

Apply a small amount to an applicator or towel, wipe the tips over then buff with a second towel.

These tips are pretty hard to work with but they came up pretty good. (I'm sure the new neighbor across the road found the sight of me fisting my exhaust pipes all afternoon to be a perplexing sight. )

The XR8 has a very nice booty!

Hopefully you didn't have to grunt or make strange faces while you were doing it.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My company car finally arrived after 7 months of waiting. I gave it the full treatment after the dealer did their half assed dealer prep. The products used were Griots 3 in 1, Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant, Wolfgang Metal Sealant, 303 Protectant, Duragloss 253, Blackfire Fabric Protectant.

That's crazy, I would be so frustrated. Is that pollen? We don't see anything like that here.

I wasn't crazy about the Mitsubishi at first but I got used to it. It was comfortable and the storage in the back was adequate. The gas mileage was good (29 mpg average) but it lacked power. It was slow coming off of the line and it had trouble passing cars on the highway.
