Got my new Weathertech mats for my new to me Toyota Avalon. And of course coated them with Duragloss #253. Still and underrated product. Both for tires and mats. When these mats get dirty just take them out and hose them off and the become good as new when coated with D253.

Interesting product, I've been searching a product to protect my rubber mats! How many coats do you usually put? How long has it lasted you in the past?

Just one coat will give a satin finish. I don’t want to make them too slippery. It typically will last almost a year. It depends if you are washing with water and soap or if you are using an APC cleaner. If just soap it will last a good while. D253 makes cleaning easy. I have some tan mats in my Volvo that show the dirt quicker and the drivers mat needs an APC cleaning after a couple months. Then I just reapply 253. I use a brush to apply to mats and tires. Any cheap soft nylon brush will work.

Today I detailed the snow all off my car and when I got stuck in the driveway I detailed the snow away all around the tires and under the car. It was quite an exhausting detail session. I give the products a big thumbs down and don't recommend. I give a 1 star, only because after all the detailing I was able to get the car into the garage to cure the remaining snow off. Car looks glossy and snowless once again.
