Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I detailed my garage so I can do things in it again. Picked up and put stuff away. Blew all the dust off everything and swept them did it again. Might be able to wash or detail without getting the car dirtier than it previously was.

Had to re-order my "Rain Forest" items and added a few:

-Auto-Fanatic foaming wheel cleaner ("new and improved")

-Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution Flex Wax (seems hard to keep stocked)

-Lake County 5.5" foamed wool pad (just incase)

-Chemical Guys Signature Series scent (formally stripper scent, even CG's has succumbed to our soft worldWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?)

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

It was 35 degrees today and a perfect day to do rinseless washes on two vehicles. I just got a delivery of some Griots products so I wanted to try their rinseless wash concentrate and their Ceramic Speed Shine. I was skeptical about the rinseless wash since I am such a Wolfgang Uber fan. The Griots Rinseless had some good lubricity and it wiped away cleanly. You need to use more product (1 oz per 1 gallon of water) than Wolfgang but the $18.00 price for a 64 oz bottle is reasonable.
I also wanted to try the Ceramic Speed Shine. It also has great lubricity and it does not leave streaks.
I believe in treating everybody with respect, and clean cars. That’s what I believe in.

    Glad you liked both products!

The Brillant Shine rinseless wash leaves nothing behind, only N914 can make that claim also, so it's in rare company and priced right! I feel people don't know about this product because some people, even those here, think Griot's is expensive and that's just not the case here!

The Ceramic Speed Shine is a new, outstanding product that I really like and plays well with my 303 graphene coated carWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing? What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Kinda surprised you didn't use Brake Buster in a foamerWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I have been using Brake Buster with the standard bottle/nozzle supplied.

My initial use of Brake Buster left me wondering if I would have a use for this product. However I have been grabbing out of the cabinet more than I expected and has been working pretty good with the supplied bottle, although I have been meaning to get some into my foamer. Does it work better once foamed?

My results in foamer have been good long as wheels are maintained and not super grimy. I believe the foam gives you more dwell time but you are diluting the product. I found I like a 40% (BB) 60% (H2O).

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Decided to check the fluid levels on the Qashqai, then I see all the dust that's slowly accumulated in all the little nooks and crannies. So out comes some old QD I had left over, a small brush, and an already dirty microfibre, and an hour disappeared, just like that. And I just now realised that I still didn't check the oil. I didn't treat any of the plastics either, the dogs were waiting for their walk. What did you do today, in regards to detailing?-psx_20210111_233331-jpg

    Been a while, been busy.

Traded the wife's explorer for an expedition. We now have 2 black vehicles to maintain in upstate NY haha.

Put them both through the touchless and some spot cleanup with n914. Then mckee's 10 minutes spray sealant for both (I still love the heck out of this stuff) and some rainx on the windshields.
