The Rock Star doesn't particularly like having a bath so he is happy to leave me to it, as long as he gets a pat and a treat afterwards he is all good.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Had a little time tonight so I installed my carbon fiber mirror caps on the 350z. I bought these for myself as a birthday gift earlier this month. I like the fit and the quality of these are pretty good. I purchased on Instagram and it was better than what people on ebay sell. I’ll have to buff out a few very light swirls come spring but overall the caps look great to me.

This is the passenger side mirror cap and door. The car hasn’t been washed in months and it has been out a few times so pretty good reflection.

    This is the driver side.

Again, very happy w end result. Overall I’d rate these a 9 out of 10 for fit and finish.

I've been waiting for this 46°F day to get a rinseless wash in.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

PA weather finally broke this afternoon. 40's. Did the usual wash/interior. Paid special attention to flush out the undercarriage. Used degreaser and just a strong jet of water. Another coat of tonneau cover protectant. About 2.5 hours spent on it. It was filthy! Now it's too clean to drive! LOL.

The size certainly has it's benefits, four cars call this place home.

When the house was built, that front section was originally intended as a BBQ area. My car buying habits put that idea to bed!

With the plumbing all set for it to be a outdoor kitchen, having the sink connected last week was relatively easy.

Next on the list, I really need to do something with that floor!

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

A little bit of a stock take on my polish & sealant towels today.

After sitting at the bottom of the pile for many years now, those yellow Meguiar's towels have finally made their way to the beater pile. That odd white one on the right too. In fact, they were put to use straight away, helping to detail the engine bay of the Jaguar and Ranger.

Regular cleaning and conditioning of light colored leather is not optional but mandatory!

I do this every couple of months, never letting it get to the point where it becomes visibly grotty. I used a couple of Australian market NV leather products that leave the leather looking natural without feeling slick or greasy. I also gave the interior a wipe over with 303.

With a polish and some new sealant the other day, the Jag's looking purrrrrrfect at the moment.

I'm interested to hear what you do with the floor. Ours is very similar, it marks very easy, but it's very easy to sweep, so much fur left when the dogs hang out in the garage with me most afternoons.
