What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

We had an incredibly dry winter and now are under high fire danger

Last winter set records for snow and this winter set records for lack of snow

Yeah mother nauture can be ruthless, our farmers are complaining about lack of water.

From December till know we haven't really had much rain but it's kind of green... We live about a 10-15min drive in land from the cost of Devonport.

Sunday was nice out. Partly cloudy. Weekly wash on the truck. Ran the underwasher on the undercarriage. Finished with wet wax as the drying aid. Refreshed the tires with Griots ceramic tire shine. The RAV4 also got a wash.

Griot's crinkle glass towel (non-crinkle side showing)
Thank you.
EDIT: I was just reading the description on that towel, funny it's kind of like an Autofiber one-sided twist weave that I have (in concept, anyway), one texture to clean, one to dry. AF has another towel like that now, the Amphibian or something? Or Inside-Out...something.

Oh, I really thought that was Karl and Klasse's dust storm, continuing east.
Perhaps? Car has been in garage past 48 hours so I think I dodged that if it did come by.

It was covered in pollen and then it rained just enough to spot it, not rinse it. So looks extra icky.

I'm looking forward to giving the Gtechniq citrus foam a solid performance test on it. She needs a good Reset contact wash and a wheels-off cleaning as well, calipers need liberated.

You can flip them over to use the other side but they're pretty thin so you basically have to use the other side of an unused section. Liquid soaks thru them.

About to tackle the interior of the Pilot. We bought it last August and inside hasn't been done once. Backseat is owned by a toddler and riding along back there today convinced me I need to clean it. May have to be done in two parts but will start with the front seats. Work my way back. Gonna start with the Master Blaster to blow all the animal cracker and gold fish crumbs out. Should be interesting.

Gonna use ONR for door jambs, panels, and dash. Using Mega Quik Interior for any piano black trim and screens. Then hitting the seats with Sonax Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. Windows will get CarPro Clarify, the last window cleaner I'll ever buy.

I only got like 1/3 of the way through the Pilot before dark set in. Got the nastiest stuff done, but needed to make sure the carseat and floor mats were back in before I went to bed as the wife needed it first thing in the AM. Oh well, it will get finished eventually lol.

Happy with my new IK 50oz sprayer with ONR. Made cleaning the door jambs a breeze. Very pleased with how the door jambs turned out. Black is nice when it's clean haha.

I will likely take advantage of the temperature creeping beyond 50°F today and hit the Jetta with Gtechniq Citrus Foam before taking it to work. For time sake it will be a touchless only wash. Can't look any worse than it does now

Good to hear your "voice" Chilly. I'd gladly send you some of our rain, we've got plenty to spare.
Thanks Dave

It is actually gray and completely socked in today with a 55% chance of rain, but it has been that way for a week now and we get just enough drizzle to make a mess and not enough to do any good
