Continued setting up my compressor system in prep for the Friday electrical install and first use. Put a dedicated gauge on the Tornador just to keep tabs on the pressure to it. I don't envision an issue but being it's my first time using one I wanted to do it right. Also installed the rotating plug to make easier use of it in tighter places. Set up a backing board for my filter and regulater too. This should fasten to the wall behind the compressor nicely. More to come!

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
Well we had quite the storm here yesterday and the ES not only sat in it but drove through it as well. I will say that when I checked the car out this morning I had to look for the dirt, only saw minimal but I had microscopic waterbeads that had dried up on the trunk area, that's about it. The topsides and most of the sides had ZERO anything, so that coating lite I mentioned previously had impressed me but we're only a week and half out, LOL. The slickness of the paint and the "candy" gloss are really "a somethin"
So since the car drove through as well as sat in the storm I decided to do a 2BM wash, can't remember the last time I truely needed to if I'm honest. So I first pre-treated the wells with Alien Kleen, pre-soaked the tires with 303 Tire and Rubber and went upstairs to get my cleaning tools. Back downstairs I hit the tires and wheels with Brake Buster, 2 tires/wheels at a time and then using my barrel brush for the lugs, Speed Master for the spokes and barrels and my short brissel brush I cleaned up the hoops and rinsed everything down with my trusty Worx hydroshot
Moving onto the pre-wash I used Griot's Garage foaming surface wash @ 3 oz to 1.3 gallons, foams up so nice in the IK Foam 9. I let it sit for about 5 mins and rinsed down with the Worx hydroshot, time for the 2BM.
Since I hadn't done a 2BM wash in a while I reached for what's arguably the BEST carwash soap on the market, long time forum favorite...CarPro Reload! I added 2 oz to my wash bucket and sprayed the Worx hydroshot in there and I really forgot about the suds, amazing! I got after it and wash mit just glides across the paint, well, that fresh coating lite didn't hurt either, LOL. This soap has a pleasing fresh scent too, such a pleasure to work with, gotta use it more often but then again how can I if the car doesn't need a 2BM, LOL! While rinsing it down the beads were once again microscopic, no problem for the Triple Threat Trio of The Sucker (body), GG waffle weave (for the glass) and GG PFM for the little left over. Finishing up with a universal mf towel for the drying of the tires/wheels...oh wait, topped off the rims with a watered down Meg's HCW to give them some gloss and additional protection, see, I find a use for everything, even Meg's HCW, LOL.
I snapped a couple pics, some different angles and such, enjoy

Roger, I think you meant CarPro Reset as your soap for 2BM, not Reload

Tried out a new (to me) product on my wife’s car today. So far, I’m impressed.

I like Fast Finish. It gives the paint a sharp reflective look.
