It’s not like I didn’t apply dressings all year long when I lived up north. It’s just second nature to me. Don’t forget about the wheel wells too!
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

While we are on the subject of tires, when I swap winter/summer wheel sets I stack the unused ones in the storage shed for the season

This is the first year I have had the ability to put them away clean and wheels protected

But what about the tires; should I put dressing on or leave them bare since they are stacked sidewall touching sidewall

I guess I’m a bit worried about them somehow sticking together or something even if I let the product cure

You could put some cardboard between them, or buy those overpriced tire covers.

(Full disclosure, I only have one seasonal set of tires...which are in "those overpriced tire covers").

I always used to put cardboard under the bottom one when I kept them in a concrete floor in a rented storage unit

I have 3 sets so pricey covers aren’t happening

    I’ll just start cutting cardboard

    Thx

They have some cheap ones on Amazon for $29-$33 for a set of 4. They have the tire rack ones on sale right now, $40-50, funny the ones without the tire rack logo are more expensive, I guess they give you credit for advertising for them.

I bought the tirerack ones years ago. The branded ones were cheaper then too. They are really sturdy, quality covers. I bought a few sets, all still like new.

I don't think they had the blank ones when I bought mine, that was probably 15 years ago.

I got mine around 2014. They had the choice then. I saw the money saving for just having their logo, it was an easy choice, lol. The logo is actually nice too. And saved the cash.

Today's choice was Griot's Garage Ceramic Wash and Coat. Just the usual foam/dwell/rinse & free flow/dry. This stuff beads like crazy when rinsing off, then with free flow the water rolls away...easyWhat did you do today, in regards to detailing?
