Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
So question for my fellow geeks.
I have little over half jug of D143. Use it at 2:1 usually
Was thinking since spring is coming to grab something like 303 tire and rubber cleaner or McKees tire and rubber rejuvenator.
Is one of these worth picking up?
Was going to grab some Meg’s ultimate wheel cleaner as I liked using it but curious if I should bother with a dedicated tire and rubber product or continue on with the D143.
Let me know
Also I did not do anything to vehicles besides drive on super wet sloppy roads so they look like hell but we are thawing out so may wait to later in the week when it’s mainly gone.

The 303 Tire and Rubber cleaner is a very good product and you get more for your money, it's a 32 oz bottle. The product sprays on nicely and begins to break things down almost instantly, unless your tires aren't dirty, LOL. A short brissel brush makes quick work of the embedded dirt and your then good to go, just my .02 cents worth.

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
I’m in a similar boat to you.
I’m working on getting the application of the new optimum tire coating down, but if that fails I’ll probably end up swapping to using a dedicated rubber product like m37 or the 303 stuff.
They seem to leave tires looking a little more black than something like D143, optimum power clean, or d101.
If I can’t get the coating to work, I’ll likely just clean my tires with one of the dedicated rubber cleaners and stop dressing them because I’m lazy, and having to reapply dressing every wash irritates me greatly.
I’d say just buy a 16oz (or 32 in the case of 303) bottle and try one for yourself. Do one side with the new stuff and one with d143, and see how you like it.
Costs a little more per ounce to simply try them, but then you don’t end up with a mound of products taking up precious space

I use D143 and bought the 303T&R cleaner because I read it was safe on all wheel types.
I wont be using it on my wheels but I want to make sure if it hits the black wheels it doesn't stain them.
I also need a dedicated rubber cleaner for trim and seals

Never thought of using it for trim and seals, guess I’ll grab some. Besides I like the fact it’s cheaper than McKees and get 2x the amount of product. I’m not knocking McKees but I mean really

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?
It's a new car, well, new to me and I haven't had leather interior since I had my Crossfire in the mid-2000's (that sucks that that was 13 years ago now). So I first cleaned the seats with Connelly leather cleaner, then used a mix of "stuff" I had in a Griot's Garage leather bottle and finished with Mckee's quick interior detailer on the dash, door panels and center console, anything vinyl or plastic.
I then decided to apply 2x's Adam's Tire Armor and will add a 3rd coat when I'm done doing a....Ech2o WW. I took the car out for a ride and noticed some spots I wanted to remove, some bloch caused my OCD to flair up. Now that I have leather I have a new wormhole to go down, look out Gyeon, I'm looking at you but not yet, I've got 303 leather products to use and they ofcoarse and plenty good, not to mention Griot's Garage!
Looking forward to driving to work, this car is different than the Abarth...smooth, missing the "personality" but I'll be adding some down the road, Rome wasn't built in a day
