3D AAT 501 And ACA 500
So I finally got my hands on 500 and 501. Tested on different panels on hard VW paint with a variety of pads on Rupes Mini, 15 MKII and 21 MKII. The 501 was pretty average in cut and the finish wasn’t bad at all. The 500 was by far the superior in cut but the finish undoubtedly required a finishing step which HD Speed easily cleaned up. I expected more cut from AAT 501 and expected a better finish from ACA 500 which also seemed harder to wipe off on some areas. Really liking the cut of ACA 500 though.

Dusting wasn’t much of an issue, the issue I am having is that it isn’t playing nicely with the 21 on wipe offs. The 15 with the same pad wipes off clean but the 21 seems to “cook” the polish and raise panel temperatures with the ACA 500 and its practically impossible wiping off the residue without marring which is counterproductive. The odd thing is one or two spots I had the same issue with the Mini too but not the 15.
