    Any idea what this is

So a client came by and said the paint developed these cracks and staining after a mobile washer washed the car. They won't Polish out at all. Meg's MF cutting pads and any compound from Meg's, jescar, menz, Griot's nothing is removing them. Could it be acid burn??

Is that a painted plastic panel or metal? or is it on both. That's a weird pattern on the cracks

Hard to see from pics, but I wonder if you're onto something with the acid burn notion.

The pattern looks like you would expect from a fluid that dried on the paint.

Re: Any idea what this is

I assume you used the same wash method you always use?? I would say paint defect. Awfully new for CC failure. I would have him check with Ford. Definitely strange.

The first picture looks like cracking paint, the other look something definitely sat on the paint for a while. What was your wash process?? I assume you were in the shade. Did you use any type of acid, or iron X or anything along those lines??

The post is a little confusing, did you do the wash, or someone else did and you damaged the paint trying to correct it??

Re: Any idea what this is

It was washed by a mobile washer here in town, the damage was noticed the next day.

The client asked me to try and Polish it out which has left it in the last pics where the center is cleared but the outer parts are still messed up

Re: Any idea what this is

Can your client contact that mobile guy to ask him what he used on the paint?

I'm sure he/she is really upset. I know I would be.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
