How much would you charge for applying Aquapel?

I detailed my neighbors Honda HRV earlier this summer. She wants me to add a windshield rain repellent treatment. I’m using Aquapel as a windshield treatment. My plan is to deep clean the windshield, clay, then polish. Lastly, apply the Aquapel. I already told her I would do a courtesy wash of the exterior.

What would you charge for the windshield?

Cost of all products involved $6-7.00

How long will it take you and is your goal to make hourly? Are you going to guarantee the longevity for a period of time?

I'd probably be $50 range minimum.

Going to add this and try to upsell when I wash and wax, somewhere around 25-30$ using CarPro FlyBy30

I'm at $65 for clay, waterspot removal and Griot's Garage Glass Sealant, glass protectant, windshield sealant on all glass and side mirrors. Takes around 45 min to do. All glass gets a polish as I'm doing the paint and I use 3M Glass Cleaner and Protector as a standard. Very hydrophobic and lasts a couple of months. 3M™ Glass Cleaner and Protector, Ready-To-Use, Quart, 12 per case | 3M United States
    I use
Window Cleaner - Griot's Garage on the inside glass..works amazing.

I figure about 20-30 minutes on the windshield. Not really looking for an hourly rate. I think your $50 is fair.

    Mike,

    I was thinking $25-35.00

Good idea on the upsell. Very easy to justify the added cost to the customer, especially when using a Carpro product. I just drove my work car in the ran after being off work for 6 weeks. No one has washed the car and windshield was totally flat. It wasn’t only annoying and smearing, but it was difficult to see.
