    Spot Free/Towel Free Rise

Has anyone discovered the holy grail spot free rinse solution that doesn’t require a towel dry? I have a big truck and it takes longer to dry it than it does to wash it. I need something quick and easy to use mid-week in-between my longer weekend washes.

    Thanks!

Have you tried using a leaf blower?

I don't think a leaf blower is going to get rid of the minerals in water, it's just going to push them around before they dry.

I do a flood before I use a towel. That almost dries the car with water. I swap out my spray nozzle for a short (8") section or hose I cut off a old one. Then rinse the car that way. Works great.

Coat it with cancoat or syncro then use a blower. Knocks off 99% of water with ease

A leaf blower on a coated or sealed car will get 95% of the water off. I start at the top and push the water off the car working my way down. A leaf blower on a car without an LSP is pretty worthless, can't get the water to move.

I rent an r o system from culligan for my shop and also have a deionized tank at my house. The r o system is about 6 ppm and the tank is 0-4 ppm. The tank does about 800 gallons before the ppm goes over 5. The tank is $100 plus a $20 a month rent charge. I'd look into a local water filtration company.

    Let’s see...both spot-free; towel-free.
    OK...
    That would take having spot-free
    (“demineralized”) water...to use
    solely as the rinsing water.

    Demineralized water obtained from a
Reverse Osmosis System is, IMO, the
    most economical method for obtaining
and having said spot-free rinsing water.

{All it takes is somewhere around a couple
    hundred bucks—and you’re in business. }

One option could be McKees 37 Sio2 Wash. It can be left to dry on the paint and still be rinsed off spot free. That way you get the option to wash with it on the whole truck before rinsing it off. And that way also not get so much of water spots. You can also dry rinse the paint with follow the water sheeting down the truck. And blow dry it with a leafblower or a dryer made for it. Then a GG PFM drying towels makes it easier to dry spot free and faster too. You also have the different dionized water systems and others that gets the water as mineral free as possible. The use of a waterless wash as a drying aid like Wolfgang uber is also great at take the new water spots off. And last and the one of the most helpfull things is a great sheeting ability from the LSP
