Sonax Speed Protect Vs Sonax High Speed Wax?
Does anyone know the difference between these and which is better as far as shine and protection?

Wish I knew... hard to tell. I did notice that the application (via videos) are different. My guess is that the formulation is a little different (they both have some silicone in them which is interesting), with HSW being more retail/OTC oriented and the SP being catering to the pro detailer.

Speed Wax is interesting stuff. It spreads out and then dries/hazes like you've applied an ultra thin layer of carnauba paste or liquid. I wouldn't care for it for production detailing. It does promote a very "carnauba-like" look to the paint. For me, it seemed to attract dust, unlike something like d156 or ultimate spray wax. It's not difficult to use by any means. It's just not as quick and easy as some other products. For a guy in his driveway, it's just fine and looks really nice.
I noticed it did turn the thread threads white in the stitching of a tonneau cover- simply from my buffing towel coming into contact with it. I guess there was probably some over-spray, too. It disappeared when I washed the truck next time. Speed wax didn't have the best durability in my experience
It'd be a GREAT product for someone who wants to add some deep gloss to a black vehicle on a Saturday night at the car show. I can definitely see a place for this product. In fact, it fits a nice niche and would be hard to beat in that niche. It just wasn't for me.
If you're looking for a carnauba Wax job in 5 minutes, this fits the bill.

Speed protect is much better. I have used both. Speed wax is good but the scratch protection properties of speed protect are outstanding. It is my go to product now. Easy to apply and several coats will last 12+ months.
