Bought a new pressure washer - need foam lance/gun
Backyard detailer and want my boys to help me. Just bought a Ryobi 2.3gpm, 2900psi pressure washer - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-2-...2900/303316315. I've read a ton of threads and am confused with what I need to buy, i.e., gun, lance, fittings, etc.
I think I'd rather not have the lance, but am open to opinions on that? Do some of the foam containers just screw on to the handle of the pressure washer?
Also, I'm not really interested in spending $60 for one of these and would like some recommendations on quality, durable foam guns that will help my boys lay down some thick suds on the cars.
I think I'll be ordering a gallon of hyper wash along with it. If the gun/lance can be ordered at Amazon, the better 'cuz I have Prime.
Thanks in advance.

Foam guns attach to your garden hose, foam cannons attach to your pressure washer. I have a 20.00 'knock-off' foam cannon....it's worked very well for me so far...lots of youtube videos out there for you to see comparisons

Just go to ebay and get a $20-$30 foam cannon. They are basically the same as the $80 ones found on various detailing sites

Thanks, guys...I need a foam cannon then.
Do I need to also to switch out the orifice to a smaller diameter to make better foam? If so, what diameter would you recommend?

Typically, the smaller (1.1mm) orifice is for lower psi pressure washers...more often the electric ones. At 2900 psi. I'd say to try the standard one, and use a soap that's designed for foam cannons, like Chemical Guys Honeydew. I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with the results.

Going with any cheap one should be fine. If it doesn't give you good results, try a different orifice size for it.

Re: Bought a new pressure washer - need foam lance/gun
I broke down and went and bought the Ryobi last week.
Here is what I purchased in addition:
- short nose gun W/nozzles (has M22 hose hookup)
- cheap foam cannon
- 1.1mm orifice (for foam cannon to produce thicker foam)
I was debating on a longer rubber hose but dang they are expensive. Even the stiff ones too. So for the time being I'm going to try to deal with the stock short hose until I get sick of it.

Was wondering if I really needed the orifice. I'll consider getting the short gun after trying with the wand first. Thanks!
