Re: Brand new truck - want to do it right

My next question was going be what clay should I go with? Since it’s a new truck I didn’t know what grade to go with. I do want to use the sealant or a different sealant for the rims and head/tail lights.

I’d recommend the Meguiars Clay Kit. It’s great quality, produces excellent results, and is pretty much foolproof. The only thing I’d add to it is an extra bottle of Quik Detailer, because the small bottle provided in the kit sometimes isn’t enough + there’s no such thing as using too much claylube.

I will check that out! I plan to do the exact same things to my girlfriends 17 edge so both our cars are protected till I can do some DA work. She can at least park her car in garage while mine is stuck outside do to size

You should do hers 1st. Never hurts to have a guinea pig to test your process out on before putting hands on your own vehicle.

Yea that’s what I was thinking, especially since hers can be in garage, it’ll be easier to tackle, plus both same color vehicles so I can test one of the sealants on hers and a different combo on mine.
