    Carpro ECH2o finish

Hi all, I recently started using ECH2o as a waterless wash (1:10) to clean my car when I can't be bothered going for a full wash. What I'm having trouble figuring out is the finish ECH2o leaves. After buffing out the haze, it leaves sort of a bumpy and rough finish on the car. Is it suppose to be like that or is it suppose to be a silky smooth finish?

Strange. I’ve used ech2o quite a bit as waterless and rinseless and never noticed anything but some mild hazing that needed to be buffed. Silky smooth/shiny finish in my experience. Did you do decon/clay bar?

I didn't do any surface prep prior to ECH2o. while its still wet the surface is smooth, however as soon as I buff out the haze, it became slightly rough, almost like the haze broken up into many smaller pieces and the edge is giving the rough feel.

Have you EVER used a clay bar/mit on it?

Nope, however, my vehicle is opti coated. As well, my ECH2o feels abit powdery when diluted with filtered water, thats normal too right?

There's your answer. Your car needs a light once over with a nanosponge. In terms of ECH20, lesson the amount of product. I don't use it as a waterless wash any longer but just reduce it to say 1:20 ratio or so.

Ahhh, is nano sponge safe to be used with ceramic coating?

Use a fine grade one with a light touch. Doesn't take much to remove the surface contaminants. After that use the related coating booster and you should be good. I like the sponges as you can use them with very liberally lubed up soapy water hence the reason they have sponges on the back side as they hold the solution in their as you work, you can squeeze and release more. Done right you won't see any issues.

You could try using the Optimum wash, clay, wax method to clay it. You can find the process on the rag company youtube channel.

I have also experienced better results with ech2o at the 1:20 ratio.
