ONR and Sio2?
What are peoples thoughts of mixing in an LSP with ONR as a rinseless or waterless wash? I was thinking about adding Mckees Sio2 sealant to my bucket on my next wash.

Or you could just buy some Carpro Ech2o, since that’s basically what you’re looking for.

I probably will eventually, but I have ONR and McKee's 37 Sio2 on the shelf so I thought I'd ask.

Are you talking about the McKee’s SiO2 Spray on hose of product? Or the SiO2 car wash soap?

Spray on hose off is what I was thinking. But I have both.

You are referring to hydro blue or SiO2 wash from McKee's?
You could try and see if that would work in a small area. Definitely ask Nick as it is taking hydro blue out of it's normal application process.

Then you definitely don’t want to mix those 2. You’ll wind up with a bad reaction because that McKee’s product needs to be applied to clean paint and immediately rinsed off with a strong jet of water. Trying to use it as part of the rinseless wash would likely lead to a short term disaster in streaks that won’t come off very easily.

I haven't had good luck mixing Optimum with other lines. I get muddied results. I always use Optimum washes, sealants, waxes with each other.

Re: ONR and Sio2?
Leave the mixing to the chemists? Unless you are a chemist in which case you need an ingredients list and solvent percentage in each as well as the type of polymers in ONR at which point you would have to look for chemicals that react with each other and find a general solvent or neutralizer since I'm guessing whatever solvents are in the Hydro Blue have to be fast evaporating to make sure none stick on the paint and the polymers in ONR just might be neutralized by said solvent, and at the same time what carrier carries the Sio2 and how that reacts to the ONR polymers. Long story short, don't mix products that have nothing to do with each other. There's a lot of rinseless wash and wax products that actually have been engineered to lay a layer of some kind of protection on. Don't waste your money mixing products meant to do two different things from two different manufacturers. If you like ONR, you can mix in some Opti Seal with your ONR for a wash and seal product.
