How long before a coated panel can rest against a towel
I have two panels off of my car and just applied a paint coating after polishing and prep. I'm figuring in a couple of days it would be safe to lay them down against a towel.
Anyone ever have a similar situation?

Most coating instructions will say something to the effect of:
keep away from water for 24 hours. If any water gets on the coating, remove it.
I can only assume the method to remove that water would be with a towel. So, I'd say 24 hours minimum if they are in a heated space. But best to play it safe and double or triple that time.
Some coatings allow for application of a topper within a few hours, that would require a towel as well, though you are adding something to the surface in that case.

Thanks, I suspect you are correct that a few days should be sufficient.
