New personal ride....LOTS of decals...best approach for polishing

Hey guys, bought a new ride and I have never coated a car with this many matte black decals...huge stripes, whole hood, roof, etc. What is the best method for a polish before coating? Tape all the edges? Don't worry about it?
sorry about the sideways photo...not sure how to fix it.

yup ....lots of tape. I'd use 3M automotive (yellow) on it. I was using blue painters tape and it started to pull up a decal one time on me. The yellow is much easier to remove and hasn't been an issue with decal edges.

I would cover all the stripes to keep from polish spattering on them. I did a test with matte black stripes recently. The only product that caused spotting on the vinyl was SiO2 spray like McKees HydroBlue and Gyeon WetCoat. Glass cleaner, APC, spray wax etc all were fine on the vinyl.

Quick question...so half matte, half glossy....what can I use for a quick detailer/re-up protection product now? My green juice I was told will streak and splotch the matte surfaces. (ech2o and reload mixed)

McKee’s N-914 mixed at 1:128 or 1:256 won’t re up your protection, but it’s safe and won’t alter the protection you’ve already got on there. It’s definitely a product worth considering.
