How often should you wax your car?

Thanks Tom!

Right now, i am thinking of trying the ultima line; from waterless wash to elastrofoam to paint prep/polish to paint guard plus.

But i still have a gallon of ONRWW and an 90% full bottle of optimum spray wax. So ultima could wait i guess. :)

You are all set really...

ONRWW and OCW? It doesn't get much better than that!

Tom

Agree! I guess there is just something inside me that wants to try other products.

It’s AG’s fault. Lol

Since you live in San Diego, I would take this into consideration and move onto a sealant instead. The melting point of carnauba wax is 179.6 degrees F. You have a black car in San Diego, so I imagine your paint will get very very hot in the summer time. With that in mind, how long will wax survive on your car? Probably not long. I would say wax it once every two weeks really. If you move onto a solid sealant, then you're going to have real protection here. There are also hybrid carnauba/synthetic blends you can use that will do much better on your car than pure carnauba.

I will have to YouTube it. Never applied a sealant before

Without looking it up not sure if DG #111 is on FaceTube but it's very easy, apply thin and wipe off. No dust, little effort! What I do with DG #111 is apply it to the entire car, including glass and THEN remove, no worries, trust me, been using it for years

Do you apply it on trims too? As in the ENTIRE exterior? How is its hydrophobicity?

I wouldn't apply it to trim as it's not made for it but it doesn't stain either. Apply to all painted surfaces, glass, tail and headlights and wheels even. It's very hydrophobic as it's a pure sealant, NO cleaners at all.

Couldn't find any duragloss how to videos. Wish they were more beginner friendly. I haven't done this before so I like seeing it done.

Understood but it's very straight forward, like applying any wax. There's no advantage to applying by machine either, GO FOR IT

I do the same. I Zaino every quarter with weekly washes and Optimum spray wax/ Zaino Z6 or McKees 37 High Gloss Spray weekly.
