Re: Does Carpro essence gloss extreme need IPA/Eraser
When I used Essence on a 2015 let us to cut with a MF pad, I went with speed 3 on a long throw and speed 6 on a porter cable. I do find that at the higher speeds, it was necessary for me to use eraser to wipe it off, as the product had to be worked for longer than usual so the polish residue was more stuck on the paint.

Ill be using a Griots polisher with either 6” or 5.5” MF pads. I think the Porter is similar to the Griots. Why speed 6 on shorter throw? My thinking is the higher speed will create more heat which will cause Essence to cure? faster?
i have some fine scratches to correct and was hoping to just use Essence with MF pad for that, follow with Gloss Pad and finally wipe-on/apply Reload.

Higher speed on the pc because pc needs 6 to do any correction, especially with a finishing polish. Also because for me, I do three passes and that's it. I do tend to overwork essence but again, I spray it with eraser to wipe it off so I'm not too concerned about removal if I overwork it.

If you are going with 2 step of pads why not use a polish/finishing polish on a mf pad first then glosspad with essence?
