sf4000 vs sf4500
A while back, I ordered a bottle of SF4500 - thinking it was SF4000.
My go to combo was a white LLC pad with FG400, so follow-up was not always necessary. Now, I am detailing my own car with orange pad removal, and heavy compounding. I am worried the SF4500 will not have enough overlap in cut to clean up the FG400.
Do I really need to buy a bottle of SF4000?
It's never too late to learn a little.

Re: sf4000 vs sf4500
FG400 finishes pretty good with just about every cutting/polishing pad. Your SF4500 on a white pad will still have some cut due to the pad. Do 2 panels with it but hit one panel a 2nd time and see if there is much improvement. If you do think it looks better then just hit each panel twice. The first time with firmer pressure than the second time. You could lower the speed the second time.
You also have the option to use the FG400 with the orange pad and then you could use FG400 again with the white pad. Then refine with the SF4500. Use a black/blue pad if you have them, but the white will work if that's you have.
You have options that will work without buying without buying more polish or pads.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the diff sf4500 vs 4000... 4500 is designed for use with scratch resistant ceramic clear coats and can remove 2500 grit sand marks.
4000 isn't designed for ceramic clear coats and can remove light imperfections and holograms. Imo you would only need a 4000 or 4500, not both. Just get which one pertains to your vehicle. If what you got is right for your ride....then no need to buy the other one....just swap pad combos and do test spots like mentioned above.

4000 (now 3500) is a polish, although it does mention 2500 sanding mark removal. 4500 (now 3800) is a very fine finishing polish.
This week anyway...aw heck, who knows with Menzerna. Part of the reason I moved to Jescar and gave all my Menzerna away. Jescar wipes off much cleaner too.

My bottles of SF4000 have "Suitable for scratch-resistant clear coats" printed on them.
