Carpro Essence first time use???
My detailing consist of doing my vehicles and occasionally a neighbor's or co-worker's car or truck. I use a Flex 3401 and LC hybrid pads, mainly orange and white.
Would you guys advise me how you're using Essence. It seems like every thread relating to gloss and shine has reference to Essence and Sonax EX 04-06. So throwing "caution to the wind" I ordered the Essence.
So--When I need to compound, I normally use FG 400 or UC. Can Essence be used after these products; and can it be used as a stand alone product. Amount of product, machine speed, pad cleaning, any info would be helpful. Also, can I use 845 over the Essence?
Once again I find this forum the "bedrock" for anything detailing.
Thanks

Essence is a super fine finishing polish and is also a primer for CQuartz. If your not coating, why not use 3800 or Ultimate Polish as your finishing polish before using 845?

In my experience Essence adds a fair amount of gloss to the paint above and beyond what perfection level final polishing can achieve.

Essence has higher gloss and adds something that no other finishing polish can.

And it can also be a real pain in the rear end to remove. I've used it, once.
I put it in the finicky category of products, it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.
I agree with Rsurfer, their are far better alternatives than Essence unless you are coating after using it.

I’ve been through bottles and it’s the easiest wipe off ever, almost nothing left to wipe.

I've found the same thing. So long as you don't over apply or over work it. Definitely a bit different application process to dial in than some other polishes but love the results.

Which puts it in the finicky category, thank you for confirming that.
