    Recommendations for a clay mitt

Hey guys, I have been using the nanoskin autoscrub sponge for a while now and love it. I looking for something bigger and that I can use while washing the car to save time, I know the nanoskin autoscrub wash pad comes naturally but what else is out that you guys are using?

    Recommendations for a clay mitt

I'd stay away from that "pad" as it's meant to be used with a DA polisher and I've never seen a situation where it didn't marr.

If you're just maintaining your own vehicle then I would recommend this Handy Towel. It's in between fine/med grade and works great + it's a good size fit to your hand which makes it easy to use. I've only had it marr paint once.

If you're doing more than just your own vehicle, or you go long in between claying, then I suggest you pick up a Med. Grade Nanoskin Mitt. This thing works great and powers through nasty contaminants pretty fast [lightning fast compared to traditional claybar] I've also only experienced this marring paint once. I clayed a filthy jet black Mercedes last weekend with this claymitt and it didn't leave any marring. But it sure made quik work of the clay process. Recommendations for a clay mitt

El that first towel that you recommend, is it considered a fine cut? Compared to other towels it's inexpensive.

Thanks that autoscrub wash mitt is what I am considering.

I actually have optimums clay towel which I guess is similar to autoscrubs other than the grade. I am mostly doing my car which I clay 2 twice a year but trying to cut down on time and want something that I can use while washing or right after washing if the car is really dirty.

I think he is referring to these Nanoskin Sponges which are designed for use by hand. I use them on my cars and have no problem with marring using UWW+ or 914 as a lube.

    .

I've used all of them... I think I have articles on all of them somewhere,

    Here's my take...

The most versatile is the towel.

Re: Recommendations for a clay mitt

I have the Autoscrub mitt (fine grade) and LOVE it! Stepped up from the sponge as well. Saves a lot of time/headache being able to clean while washing. I use ONR, clean it the way I normally would, but instead of drying, I spray more ONR at 16:1, "clay", wipe down with the same wash media and then finally dry.
