Re: HD speed vs Megs D166
If a superior product comes out at a similar price point I'm going to buy it over the others. Every single time. Why wouldn't I? I simply want what is best for my car and my wallet. Again, not saying speed is worse, but I see no sense in using an outdated and/or inferior product out of a sense of obligation towards a certain manufacturer. Speed may have (according to you) leap frogged over its competitors but sooner or later something new is going to leapfrog over it. If you don't want to jump on the train, that's your loss.

HD Speed has been dominating this segment for well over the last 5 years. Glad to see Megs finally bringing a product like this to market. There's been many products that have tried to compete (even having people posting favorable reviews such as this), but none really have had the staying power to win people over like Speed does time after time. I'll certainly be ordering some D166 to try so I can do my own real world testing.....

Is there are ranking published somewhere for AIO?

If you look at the autotopia cut charts the all-in-ones are listed there along with the other polishes and compounds

From my testing mckees 360aio outlasted speed in longevity. It was not as user friendly but to your point of staying power if referring to longevity the McKees has had it beat.

Thanks. Didn't know about the cut charts. I need to print these off on the color plotter and hang them on the wall.

You've gotta be kidding me... Meguiars came out with AIO D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream 10yrs. ago, so it's not as if they just now decided it was a good time to release an AIO.
Not to mention Meguiars has a long history of its products being so blatantly copied that it's not even funny...
Meguiars Last Touch > 3D Final Touch? Pfft. Getouttahere!
Quik Interior Detailer > Fast Interior Detailer
Who was the 1st to make microfiber pads? Meguiars.
Who changed the game in regards to modern day compounds that finished near lsp ready? Meguiars M105. Every single detailing brand came later with their attempt to match M105.
Get real dude. Meguiars has much bigger fish to fry than 3D.

Same here. Sounds like Speed and others have some competition.

I hope it's not too soon when I say, "I sense an amazing product!"
I just bought more d301 finishing wax that Kevin Brown turned me onto.
Fortunately for me, I go through 16oz. fast enough—giving me the opportunity to hopefully try D166 before the end of the season.
