    Microfiber Nightmare

I have a big evergreen that hangs over part of my driveway, so you can imagine all the little pine needles and stuff that fall on the ground. Well, when I cut the grass those needles get pulverized into super fine teeny pieces. I try to keep my driveway blown off, but the wind likes to fight this process a lot.

I was buffing off my Car the other day with one of my Brand New Gold Plush Micofiber towels, when I accidentally dropped it on top of a small pile of that stuff! Never will I allow that to happen again! I mean the Towel is pretty much shot after that. Me and my damn OCD decided to spend 2 hours with a pair of tweezers picking each and every tiny piece of pine needle out of there. I guess I was riding the CRAZY Train that day. Next time I'm just going to consider the Towel for Tire Duty and buy a new one. It's not worth it picking through all that stuff!

$8 for a new one sure beats 2 hours of craziness. And I will make sure my driveway is spotless too.
Sorry, I forgot to take photos.

You guys have any Microfiber horror stories?

I'm sure we all have some similar story.

I've had my fair share of accidentally dropping a MF on the ground. Unfortunately we park our cars on a gravel parking pad so you can imagine how it would feel to know that the towel is pretty much a useless rag once it falls on the gravel.

Yup, I have done the same. A split second on the grass, and it found 2-3 thousand little pieces of debris.

That MF instantly became my new wheel well cleaner. :/

(And in full disclosure, YES I did sit there for a little while picking crap out of it before thinking "What in the hell am I doing?!?")
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

if you aren't sure after cleaning the microfiber, better safe than sorry and demote it to wiping down the engine and/or wheels (non-painted). not worth the risk...

Sawdust, and Live Oak pollen curlicues have ruined a lot of good microfibers for me...

Man, I've done that too. Also dropped a clay bar....trashed that one immediately though. Switched to clay mitt and sponges.... better alternatives for me.

If you're going to pick debris out, do it with a lot of water. Something about the fibers allows them to loosen their grip when soaking wet. At least that's my experience.

The clay bar is right where my brain went too! Fresh bar, right out of the package. Knead it, pancake it, swipe, swipe, plop.

That's a bummer about the towel! I'd have to think long and hard about if it was even worth saving...
