Mckee's Tire Coating
Anyone with experience with this product...
Is it a must that I use the tire and rejuvenater formula to clean tires or can I use Mckee's APC?
Any experience with actual longevity?
Any experience of how many tires you can do with one 4 oz. bottle?
My tires have 15,000 miles on them
Thanks

Re: Mckee's Tire Coating
I have used these products and I can say I am totally satisfied with them. I used the rejuvinator first as it is recommended on the coating product. I have about 8 weeks on my tires now and they still look great. See here for pictures:

Re: Mckee's Tire Coating
I've used it on my car going on 4 weeks and still looks great. Used it on a friends corvette before he left for power tour and drove 2200 miles in 7 days and they look great still.

Not my review but a good one.
Review - McKee's 37 Tire Coating - "New Formula"
I would definitely recommend using the tire rejuvenator as a prep for the tires. The other option would be tuf shine tire cleaner. It will last you months on the tires and the 4 oz bottle goes a long way.

Do you reccomend brush applicator or am I ok with a foam applicator

Re: Mckee's Tire Coating
Used the product last week for the first time... One word of caution: Be careful not to get it on your rims if they are factory painted clear coated. I had some drip onto a rim and dry and spent a good half-hour claying to try and get it off.
When they say it's a permanent bond, they mean it!
I actually found out later that whatever solvent they put in their wheel coating will remove the tire coating from rims which was a saving grace on another wheel.
Both the tire and wheel coatings are awesome products. However, I was freaking until I got my own newbie induced mess cleaned up.

I would recommend either the carrand brush or the tuf shine foam applicator.

Re: Mckee's Tire Coating
I haven't ordered the tire rejuvenator yet and I'm getting tired of looking at dull tires.
Would it be totally wrong to make do with what I have.
Prep tires with n914 and apply coating with foam applicator

Re: Mckee's Tire Coating
N(14 is a rinsless wash. It does not contain any cleaners like the tire rejuvenator to prep the tires.
