Color wax
Hey guys,
I noticed a couple of scratches on my car that are too deep to polish according to my detailer. He suggested to get colored wax, which should partially mask the scratches. Does anyone have experience with color wax or can recommend any specific products?
Thank you!

Re: Color wax
The color of the wax won't do a thing for a scratch that's too deep to compound/polish out. He couldn't wet sand and touch up a little to minimize the damage ?

Re: Color wax
Apparently I'm not supposed to say this here, but turtle wax color magic makes something like this that I've used with good results. Polish it first with a nice quality product that AG sells (see... promoting AG, so don't remove my post). Color magic has a colored wax pen (sort of like a lipstick) that you can get in a color similar to your paint that you can fill the scratch in with. Best selection of colors I've seen was on amazon. Then you wax over top and it hides it really well.
I had a car that got a huge scratch all the way down the side from road debris. I used that stuff/method and two years later sold it to carmax and they didn't even notice.
Alternatively, you could use a crayon (I tried this on a car that I couldn't find a color match for) but the wax is a bit hard and doesn't fill well. Might be able to heat it first and have it work better.
