    Trim Restorer

Purchased some WETS and Griots black shine trim restorer. When you apply this trim gel do you normally tape off the windows so the extra doesn't get on the windows? I did this without tapping anything off and it was a pain to get the smudges off the windows.

I haven't used the Griot's, but you're right, it can be a lot of work to get WETS off of glass. I don't usually mask, I just try to be accurate and get as little on glass as possible, and buff off promptly before it cures.

I do not mask off glass but I mask off paint like on some door pulls.

Don't mask either. Usually a MF towel with some detailer will get my smudges off the paint & glass. The included applicator with the Griots is one of the best applicators for trim I have used. For grilles and really hard to reach places I have found a aerosol trim spray is best used there.
