    Need some product input

    After years of just taking my truck to get washed weekly, I have decided to take the step of cleaning my truck myself.. I have some products now, but my mind is so overloaded with reading stuff that I have decided to come to you guys to get a few opinions.

    What I am looking to get some info on is a good washing mitt, applicator pads for sealant and wax, and a great waffle weave towel and microfiber towels. I have a bunch of old stuff that I am going to toss out, but with all of the great products out there now, I am hoping that you experts can direct me to a few good products out there..

    Appreciate it in advance....

    Mods: please move if I posted in wrong area......thank you

    Re: Need some product input

    I'm sure you will get plenty of different answers, as everyone has their favorite products, but here are my choices:

    Wash mitt: Cobra Wash Mitt

    Applicator pads: Buff and Shine UFO pads

    Drying towel: I usually use the Big Blue towel, but if you want a waffle weave specifically, the Guzzler gets great reviews

    MF towels: For general wax/sealant removal and detail sprays, I would recommend the Cobra Gold Plush Jr's

    Hope that helps!

    Microfiber Towels I enjoy these for most exterior work.
    Gold Plush Jr. Microfiber Towel, gold detail cloth, buffing towel, microfiber buffing towel, micro fiber

    Applicators, I use these;
    6 Pack Pinnacle Foam Wax Applicators

    Drying towel, waffle weave is pretty good but I cannot recommend these enough, you can get a couple small ones of 1 big one;
    Griots Garage PFM Terry Weave Drying Towel

    And to maintain your towels I use;
    Micro-Restore doesn’t just clean microfiber, it restores microfiber!

    When doing a 2 bucket method wash I personally use this wash mitt;
    Merino wool wash mitt, auto wash mitt, sheepskin wash mitt

    More ways than one to skin a cat but all of the above products are top quality without a doubt.

    Re: Need some product input

    This is my personal arsenal, of course you are entitle to chose you own products but just an idea:

    - 2 Buckets with grit guard on the bottom (one filled with soap, one with distilled water)
    - Microfiber-chenille wash mitt
    - Soap (CG Citrus wash and gloss)
    - Wax: CG 50/50 concours or 3X Wax
    - Blacklight, Wet mirror finish, and Jetseal 109
    - Tires: Iron X (to wash), green tire brush, VRP for dressing on trimming and tires
    - Smartwax for the rims
    - Drying: Waffle weave microiber towels (have them a bit moist to get great drying results)
    - Regular plush microfiber towels to apply or remove products (Blue for exterior, Yellow for interior, Green for Glass)
    - UFO red wax applicators
    - Foam applicators for the tires dressing application.

    Overwhelming number of choices for sure. But, be reassured that stuff sold here is all good. For me, learning, deciding, and trying the stuff out is fun.
