Have 2 cars to polish in next 2-4 days, HD speed, Rupes UHS or yellow/Keramik

Doing a few freebies for friends and family so I can get hours behind a polisher.

Yes I will do test spot to confirm my thoughts.

First car will be a Hyundai Tucson. Kind of a dark red, maroon color. Very clean and well kept. Light swirls.
Goal is to achieve clarity and deep gloss.
I'm thinking yellow pad/Keramik polish topped with P808 Or go with gray pads/UHS and top with P808?
My issue here is that I have only 4 yellow pads. My thinking I'll use white or green pads on roof and the back. Yellow on hood/fenders and 1/4 panels. Doable?


Second job is a ford ranger. Owner doesn't care about the truck. He is willing to let me practice polishing on it.
This was a former commercial truck that was painted with a cheap single stage white paint.
Plan to polish out with HD speed and white pads. One step and be done. I have 7 white pads.

Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

If you have not done so already read Todd's post on using the UHS. You can UHS the entire car if you wish to. Test spot it the way to go to see what you need to do.

I can't comment on the pads and polishes, but that single stage white paint may be hard as a rock.

You could probably go more aggressive and still get good gloss, but don't expect much defect removal without a lot of work.

Based on the article using AIO on white---HD Speed is the ticket.

I just got the new menzerna cut gloss and wax. I'm going to use that on my father's truck when I get a chance
